Job Title: Seasonal Shunt Driver
Location: Lincoln, Ontario
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can be part of a dynamic greenhouse team? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a great group of people? We are a hiring Seasonal Shunt Driver to help us distribute and shunt fresh herbs and plants.
As a Seasonal Shunt Driver, your responsibilities will include:
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver product between locations within the Beamsville area
Ensure plant material and loads are secure prior to delivery departure
Load and unload carts/products at each location
Keep products/loads organized
Safely and effectively operate the motorized vehicle
Interact with staff in a positive, respectful, and friendly manner
Physically capable of moving/lifting plant materials throughout shift
Ensure legal compliance while operating the company vehicle ensuring that proper MTO paperwork is filled out
Perform pre and post trip inspections on the company vehicle and report any findings to Senior Logistics Coordinator
Take into account possible road construction, traffic congestion, and difficult weather conditions, to ensure that deliveries are made on time
Notify Logistics department of any delivery issues, damage to plant material, and vehicle breakdowns
Drivers are expected to drive within posted speed limits (such as reduced speeds within school zones), obey traffic regulations, and ensure that hand held devices are not operated while driving.
Comply with road safety regulations and laws
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:/Experience:
Previous driving experience in a straight truck an asset
Skills:
Must possess a valid G class license
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working long hours/Saturdays as needed
Possess a current and clean Driver's Abstract
