Foothills Creamery has proudly produced dairy products and served Western Canada for over 50 years. We produce butter and ice cream, now offering over 80 different flavors of ice cream, sorbet, sherbet, and soft serve. We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients and continue to use the same old-fashioned, barrel churned techniques as we did in 1969.

Job Purpose:

The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering butter and ice cream products to Foothills Creamery customer accounts in the Calgary and surrounding areas of Southern and Central Alberta. This position will also assist in the Warehouse when required by accurately picking orders, receiving and loading delivery trucks.

This is a seasonal position that will run from April-September.

What You'll Do:

• Load product in an organized manner that corresponds to the delivery route to ensure efficient delivery
• Gather appropriate paperwork for deliveries
• Deliver product as per customer requirements obtaining signatures and completing all required paperwork
• Work within time constraints to make scheduled deliveries organizes and manages time efficiently
• Accept returns from customer, complete appropriate paperwork and returns to warehouse. Place product in return area with appropriate documentation
• Responsible to follow loading and bills of lading to load trucks for shipment
• Assist in product verification and product rotation
• Address and resolve problems as appropriate
• Inform supervisor of outstanding issues
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to supervisor
• Execute and perform complete and proper pre and post trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects
• Assist with warehouse cleaning or additional duties when not out on deliveries
• Provide great customer service representing Foothills Creamery positively at all times

What You'll Need:

• Class 5 License with a clean driving record
• 3+ years of operating 5+ ton trucks
• Must have good knowledge of Calgary and surrounding areas

What You'll Bring:

• Demonstrated ability with rigging and securing loads
• Positive attitude and experience in customer service
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
