Position Summary
The Scale Person's main responsibilities is to weigh aggregate trucks, provide customer service to drivers, and process daily sales and ticketing. Enter product sales data, reconcile and file scale tickets, and support safe, efficient site operations.
This is a Full-time seasonal role: the summer schedule is typically 5–6 days/week (minimum eight hours/day); with a modified as-needed winter schedule typically two days/week (Tues & Thurs, for four hours/day).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence (or equivalent).
- Scale house, typing or data-entry experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and basic internet use.
- Familiarity with digital scales is an asset.
- Able to meet pre-employment safety requirements (medical and drug/alcohol testing).

- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Accurate basic math and data-entry skills.
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to multitask under pressure.
- Team player who can also work independently.
- Calm, professional demeanour and dependable punctuality.
- Able to work safely around moving construction equipment.
Profile
Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 2-3 years of experience
