As a Sales Manager at Apartments.com, you will deliver frontline sales results by building and growing the assigned region’s revenue with new and existing customers, while ensuring high customer service levels, renewal rates, and product adoption.


Responsibilities



  • Identify, prioritize, and win new client relationships while retaining and growing existing accounts.

  • Monitor sales performance and hold salespeople accountable to required activity levels and client relationships to meet business performance targets.

  • Attract, hire, motivate, and develop high‑impact salespeople capable of meeting and exceeding quotas.

  • Provide monthly nationwide field travel to coach and train team members, enhancing their sales effectiveness.

  • Manage team members’ weekly activities, including attendance at the Monday Morning Sales Meeting, CoStar office attendance, and use of the Enterprise CRM system.

  • Ensure adherence to CoStar Group procedures and guidelines.

  • Provide feedback to management and recommend process improvements.

  • Develop and communicate annual sales plans in support of the organizational strategy and objectives.


Basic Qualifications



  • Three or more years of experience directly managing a team of 5+ employees, including attracting, hiring, training, and developing high‑performing sales teams.

  • Strong, proven track record of mentoring and coaching sales teams to achieve their greatest potential.

  • Three or more years of recent successful experience in a high‑transaction sales environment while meeting and exceeding quota.

  • A current and valid driver’s license; satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Abstract check required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not‑for‑profit, in‑person university or college.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills



  • Experience managing sales efforts in a highly transactional, consultative, fast‑paced organization with a short cycle‑time sales model.

  • Track record of rapidly growing a sales territory or market through organic growth, new client acquisition, and existing account expansion, consistently exceeding sales targets.

  • Ability to build long‑term, sustainable relationships and business partnerships with clients at all levels.

  • Proven presentation and demonstration skills using web‑based meeting applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a high‑growth company environment.

We offer a base salary range of $117,000–$151,000 CAD based on relevant skills and experience, and a generous commission and benefits plan.
