Job Title: Business Development Executive – Western Canada Parcel SalesJob Description/Summary:We are a dominant and rapidly growing international transportation company with offices throughout North America and Europe. Travel is required.Responsibilities and Duties:Prospect and contact on a daily basis potential Western Canada based parcel/courier customers.Develop parcel/courier solutions and increase business within current and new desired high-value parcel/courier Western Canada Accounts at the highest level through regular calls, meetings, presentations, and delivery of value-added programs and company services.Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company services and value-added programs.Conduct research to understand target prospects, changing market conditions and competitionAdhere to all company procedures, values, and policies so that you provide an accurate representation of the company to all potential and current customersConduct calls and travel for face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers on a daily basis to identify and understand their service needsMaintain detailed and updated records of all sales activities via our CRM, company database platforms along with other related reporting tools on a daily and weekly basis.Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship managementParticipate in regular weekly sales calls and other regular meetings as required by the organizationCoordinate account opening, rate implementation, IT requirements and operational needs with various departmentsWork in collaboration with the direct report for on going support, coaching and mentoring.Achieve and/or exceed the daily, weekly and monthly metrics.Qualifications and Skills:College degree or an acceptable combination of education and experienceKnowledge of the transportation industry preferred but not requiredFamiliarity with CRM platforms an assetAbility to build rapport with clientsStrong negotiation, listening, organizational and time management skillsDeadline and detail-orientedOutside business-to-business sales experience an assetCollaborative and able to work well in a team environment and independentlyExceptional communication skills (verbal and written)High level of integrity and work ethicSelf-starter who excels at working in a fast-paced environmentA team player who can also work under minimal supervisionProficiency with computer, Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Suites and CRMValid driver’s license and reliable transportationSalary:To be negotiatedA Career with GLS Canada Offers:Competitive compensation, benefits, RRSP contribution and vacation timeA flexible working environment that promotes a healthy work-life balanceA dynamic and inclusive cultureA supportive team that will encourage your professional growth and developmentCompany cell phone and laptopProfessional development and solid career advancement opportunitiesOn-going coaching and mentoring programsExcellent tools and support for successCorporate DiscountsAccess to the Employee Assistance ProgramJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: On the road%{{advertiserId}}% %%{{category}}%%
