Position Overview
Terraco is seeking a motivated Sales Agronomist to join our team. This role is a mix of sales, agronomy, and hands-on operations support. The successful candidate will provide agronomic recommendations to growers, promote crop input solutions, and assist with day-to-day retail operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, building grower relationships, and working both in the field and at the retail site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide agronomic advice and input recommendations to customers.
- Develop and grow a sales territory through strong customer relationships.
- Scout fields, take soil/tissue samples, and diagnose crop issues.
- Promote Terraco's products and services to new and existing customers.
- Assist with retail operations including shipping/receiving, blending, loading, and delivering crop inputs as needed.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure excellent service.
- Stay informed on industry developments, product knowledge, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Agronomy, Agriculture, Plant Science, or related field.
- Sales experience in agriculture is an asset but not required.
- Strong agronomic knowledge of soils, fertility, crop nutrition, and pest management.
- Willingness to assist with operational tasks when needed.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver's license.
