Leggat Ancaster Toyota is seeking a driven, results-oriented Sales/Acquisition Specialist to join our Sales team.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales/Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing high-quality pre-owned vehicles, managing vehicle purchases, and supporting inventory growth to meet customer demand. Key Responsibilities:
Source and acquire pre-owned vehicles through auctions, online platforms, and direct purchases
Proactively contact individuals interested in selling their vehicles and establish strong rapport
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and assessments, evaluating condition, history, and market value
Accurately appraise vehicles using market data, auction trends, and internal guidelines
Negotiate purchase prices with customers and external sellers
Collaborate closely with Sales Managers and leadership to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality inventory
Monitor market trends and industry insights to inform pricing and acquisition strategies
Review inventory aging and turnover to support inventory planning
Input, maintain, and reconcile vehicle acquisition data in the dealership management system (PBS) and CRM tools
Ensure all acquisition documentation, sales transactions, and inventory records are completed accurately and on time
Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous automotive dealership experience preferred
OMVIC Certification (required)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong understanding of vehicle appraisals, market values, and inventory management
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
