Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver with their class 1 or 3 to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a roll-off truck to transport containers to and from various job sites. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage heavy equipment. Duties
- Operate roll-off trucks in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload containers at designated locations, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during operations.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure the vehicle remains operational.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or freight transportation is preferred.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive repair concepts is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
