Mi3L School is a leader in youth robotics and STEM education in Ontario's Peel and Halton Region. Since 2017, we have empowered students through hands-on learning in VEX Robotics, programming, and technology. Our teams have achieved remarkable competitive success, including World Championships and provincial titles from 2022 through 2025.

Position Overview
As a Robotics Coach at Mi3L School, you will inspire and guide students to explore robotics through VEX platforms and aerial drones. You'll help them develop skills in mechanical design, programming, and engineering thinking while fostering creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Through your mentorship, students will experience the thrill of building competitive robots and bringing their ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in VEX Robotics (V5RC and IQ) and Aerial Drone programming
- Guide students through robot design, building, and programming challenges using C++, Python, and block-based languages
- Provide technical support with CAD software (Fusion 360, OnShape), CNC machines, and 3D printing
- Mentor students through debugging code, optimizing designs, and improving robot performance
- Support VEX competition teams, managing build sessions and representing Mi3L School at tournaments
- Track student progress and maintain accurate attendance and performance records
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment that promotes curiosity and collaboration
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration
- Maintain classroom supplies, tools, and robotics equipment inventory
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 2 years of experience with robot design, building, and programming
- Proficiency in VEX Robotics systems (V5RC and IQ preferred)
- Programming experience in C++ and/or Python
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for robotics, technology, and hands-on STEM education
- High school diploma required
Preferred:
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- VEX or FIRST robotics competition experience
- Previous teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience with students
- Familiarity with CAD software (Fusion 360, OnShape)
- Experience with drones, CNC machines, or 3D printing

Job Type: Part-time
Expected Hours: 10-20 per week
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible, weekly sessions (specific days/times TBD)
