Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Retail Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our retail store, providing outstanding customer service while managing sales transactions, product displays, and stock management. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will help create a welcoming shopping environment that keeps customers coming back.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about our offerings and promote upselling opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays as per standardized planograms to highlight products
- Stock displays efficiently, ensuring products are organized, labeled correctly, and replenished regularly
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management by assisting with stocking procedures
- Perform store opening and closing procedures as required
Requirements:
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially within grocery or specialty food stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Weekend availability and willingness to work opening and closing shifts is a requirement
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must enjoy working in a team environment
- Must be able to work at both retail locations within Regina as you may be scheduled at different stores to meet operational needs
