Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented assistant to join our renovation, construction, and maintenance team. We are open to someone who is new to the trades, yet willing to learn and grow within our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of various aspects of residential building renovation and maintenance, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and finishing. A willingness to explore all aspects of construction and maintenance in and around the home. This role involves assisting in transforming spaces through comprehensive renovation projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. A strong communicator and problem solver is a must. The Renovation assistant will work on diverse projects with a skilled team of leaders ranging from small repairs to full home renovations, utilizing a wide array of tools and techniques to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities
- Assist lead-hand renovators with a wide variety of daily task, ranging from small repairs and maintenance, to full bathrooms, kitchens, basements, decks, and outdoor dreamscapes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and efficiently for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, tile laying, and cabinetry.
- Assist with installing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC components in accordance with codes and specifications.
- Conduct construction painting, caulking, masonry work, framing, and other finishing touches to complete projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project specifications are met within designated timeframes.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of renovation work.
- Proven experience in construction or renovation roles with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics is a bonus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, masonry, carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinetry.
- Familiarity with building systems, concrete forming and finishing techniques as well as plumbing and electrical systems.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.78-$36.57 per hour
