PLASP operates in more than 240 schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 30 full-day early learning and child care centres and five EarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.PLASP is committed to hiring, training, and fairly compensating staff. Programs follow the Ministry of Education pedagogy, How Does Learning Happen?The Relief Resource candidate will be asked to commute to various PLASP Programs for their shift and must be comfortable with this travel commitment.Responsibilities:Provides shift coverage in the absence of Program staff to ensure program ratio is in compliance with Ministry of EducationAbility to work 7 hours per day within PLASP programs, providing coverage in the Before and After School Program, or Child Care Centre as needed.Following the Ministry of Education licensed requirements as per the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)Works with a team to establish and maintain a safe, warm and caring environment in which a high quality child care program can operate.Plans, implements programs of stimulating activities and developmentally appropriate activities for children, following the Ministry of Education’s How does Learning Happen?.
