Let's help you launch your career with Alberta Veterinary Laboratories ("AVL/Solvet") We are looking for an energetic and dedicated Regulatory Affairs Analyst to join our team on-site in our Calgary facility working 40 hours/week (Monday - Friday).

THE ROLE

The Regulatory Affairs Analyst supports the preparation, submission, and maintenance of regulatory filings for pharmaceutical products manufactured in Canada and marketed globally. This role ensures compliance with Health Canada, as well as international regulatory authorities, and supports regulatory activities aligned with global licensing, supply, and commercial agreements.

DAY-TO-DAY

Regulatory Submissions & Compliance

  • Prepare, compile, and maintain regulatory submissions for Health Canada (e.g., NDS, ANDS, SNDS, DIN applications, amendments, and renewals).
  • Support lifecycle management activities, including post-approval changes, variations, and annual reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian GMP, ICH guidelines, and applicable global regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate regulatory documentation and product registrations across multiple markets.

Global Regulatory Support

  • Assist with regulatory activities related to global commercialization, distribution, and manufacturing agreements.
  • Support submissions and correspondence with international regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, EMA, MHRA, and other global authorities), as applicable.
  • Track and manage regulatory commitments and timelines associated with global partnerships and licensing agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercial teams to support regulatory strategies.
  • Provide regulatory input for change controls, deviations, and product impact assessments.
  • Support regulatory due diligence activities for new products, partners, or markets.

Regulatory Intelligence & Systems

  • Monitor changes in Canadian and international regulatory requirements and communicate impacts internally.
  • Assist in Product Complaint investigation & Product Complaint Trending
  • Maintain regulatory databases, tracking systems, and document repositories.
  • Assist with the preparation of SOPs, templates, and internal regulatory processes.
  • Participate in preparation of raw mat, packaging mat and finished product specification.

IDEAL FIT

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, Pharmacy, Chemistry or a related field
  • Regulatory Affairs certification is an asset
  • 1–3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
  • Experience with Health Canada submissions required
  • Exposure to global regulatory environments and multinational agreements is an asset

REQUIREMENTS

  • Annual WHMIS training
  • TDG Certification
  • Medical Clearance
  • Clear Police Background Check

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • On-site in SE Calgary
  • GMP compliant facility
  • 40 hours/week (Monday - Friday)
  • Onsite with chemicals and hazardous materials for pharmaceutical compounding
