<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Registered Nurse, Special Pregnancy Program - OFC - (13995). This is a contract position for up to Eighteen (18) months.</p><p>Are you a Registered Nurse looking to make a significant impact in the field of fetal medicine and maternal health? We are known for being a global leader in fetal medicine, offering innovative, life-saving care at the Ontario Fetal Centre, Mount Sinai Hospital.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Coordinate and develop care plans, perform complex fetal sonography (including abdominal, TVS and Doppler), and assist with fetal procedures while supporting and teaching families throughout their high-risk pregnancy journey</li><li>Provide obstetric/fetal ultrasound monitoring for both inpatients and outpatients across the Women’s & Infants’ Program (Triage, Labour & Delivery, Antenatal Unit, etc.)</li><li>Engage in program planning, quality improvement, education, and professional development activities within the program through our various committees and unit-based council</li></ul><h3>Job Requirements</h3><p><b>Mandatory</b></p><ul><li>Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor’s degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience</li><li>Current registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses</li><li>Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)</li><li>Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification in OBGyn/Physics</li></ul><p>Applicants that have not completed this certification may be considered; as a condition of hire, must be completed within 2 years from hire</p><p><b>Preferred</b></p><ul><li>A baccalaureate degree from a CNO-approved nursing program. Applicants in their final year or near completion will be considered</li><li>1-2 years recent experience with high-risk perinatal nursing in an ambulatory setting</li><li>1-2 years recent experience performing fetal ultrasound</li><li>1-2 years high-risk perinatal nursing in an ambulatory setting</li><li>Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) Perinatal Certificate</li></ul><h3>Skills and Knowledge</h3><ul><li>Maternal-fetal physical assessment skills</li><li>Superb communication, teamwork, and leadership skills</li><li>Knowledge of community resources</li><li>Demonstrated ability to counsel individuals/families in crisis</li><li>Demonstrated ability to carry out complex psychosocial individual and family assessments</li><li>Experience in supporting families through perinatal loss</li><li>Knowledgeable in fetal development, cardiology, hematology, nephrology, infectious diseases and placental health</li><li>Computer literacy skills, comfortable with PowerChart, ConnectingOntario</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the development of a culture supportive of breastfeeding</li></ul><h3>Open Date and Posting Details</h3><ul><li>Open Date: 10/3/2025</li><li>Posting Deadline: 11/30/2025</li><li>All applications must be submitted by no later than 4:00pm of the posting deadline date.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>Location: Mount Sinai Hospital Campus - Toronto, ON M5G 1X5 CA (Primary). Hours: generally 8 or 10 hour shifts, M–F with evening and weekend standby required at times. Travel: as applicable.
