Rotation/Shifts

Days, nights, including weekends, 12‑hour shifts.

Basic Requirements

Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;

Three (3) months recent experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and/or in a Special Care Nursery;

Three (3) months recent ventilator experience;

Demonstrates a sound of the nursing process;

Demonstrates a desire and ability to participate in patient teaching;

Demonstrates a professional and respectful attitude to patients, to the public and to colleagues;

Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team;

Identifies a commitment to personal continuing education activities;

Demonstrates understanding of and participation in the evaluation process;

Demonstrates an understanding of the application and relevance of the nursing audit;

Eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

A degree in nursing;
Neonatal High Risk course;
Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
