About the RoleAs a Regional Technical Specialist for Central Canada, you will support both in-house and field service, including dealer, on-site, and Collaboration with other Area Technical Service Managers (ATSMs), Area Sales Managers (ASMs). This is a vital and challenging role, as issues are escalated to this role by senior technical staff at dealerships. This role is highly technical in nature and requires excellent troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.Our industry is changing and becoming more focused on hardware integrating with software than ever before.
Kyocera continues to move in the direction of modernization with new software and integration as client’s requirements change. This successful technical candidate will be a leader in driving changes in technology. Must be a self-starter and have a curiosity to use available tools to learn, understand, and provide solutions.Major Duties and Responsibilities + Educate, train, and guide Kyocera Dealers and Branches in technical support, servicing methods, training, warranty policies and procedures in the assigned region.+ Processing Warranty RMA’s as per Company Policy and SOP.+ Respond to Kyocera Dealers, timely, with efficiency, while striving for resolutions to problems in a methodical manner.+ Maintain a high-level of Product Knowledge including technical, troubleshooting methods, operation as well as current factory changes, firmware and product technical field reports.+ Manage assigned dealer training and technical requirements.+ Maintain a close relationship with dealers to ensure that they are consistent with Kyocera’s service policies and procedures.+ Responsible for processing Warranty (RMA) requests involving parts, supplies, and products in general.+ Remain familiar and current with Kyocera products, drivers, applications, utilities, networking, computer, and operating systems technology.+ Ability to collect data and document precisely for escalation as required.+ Maintain latest training (hardware, software, cloud, and network) to ensure the highest level of support possible.+ Research issues using all available tools, and provide detailed response/solution.Qualifications Required: + Post-secondary Education in related field+ Experience with computers (Macintosh, PC) and networks.+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.+ A self-starter, with the ability to receive instructions, and activate projects with minimal guidance.+ Ability to be precise in methodology in troubleshooting procedures.+ Strong time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.+ Ability to be creative, analytical and think outside the box to solve problems.+ Proficient with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).+ Physical requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., kneeling, lifting, bending, standing for long periods of time.+ Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.+ Ability to travel 30% (includes overnight).+ 5 years of experience working with technical background with particular emphasis in color imaging, digital black and white and wide format.Preferred: + Working knowledge of document editing and desktop publishing applications.+ Prior training on color and digital black and white controllers is also highly desirable.
