Receptionist/Dental Assistant
Job Description
We are expanding our team at Imagine Children's Dentistry. We are looking for a licensed dental assistant, level II, who will also have front desk duties. The ideal candidate is someone who is personable and can develop a relationship with our patients and parents. The role is full-time, weekdays only, from 8:00am-5:00pm, and finish at 3pm on Fridays. Our office is a single practitioner with a small, collaborative, friendly team.
Skills:
- Positive disposition, making patients feel welcome
- experience in dental reception and dental assisting roles
- Tracker experience is an asset
- Ability to multi-task, while providing excellent customer service in a busy office
- Decisive
- Excellent written and communication skills with patients and referring offices
- Confidence when discussing treatment payments
- Efficient in chair side assisting
Duties:
- Assisting chair side for restorative and receptionist duties split throughout the week
- Book, confirm, and schedule appointments, while also managing changes to the schedule
- Optimize daily schedule, ensuring full days, limiting gaps
- Collect payments and submit insurance claims
- Process referral letters and other patient correspondence
