Cad Railway’s delivery team will operate Metrolinx’s rail maintenance facilities in Etobicoke and Whitby.Summary: The RAMS & System Engineer Specialist will be responsible for technical analysis and related systems engineering work to ensure alignment with Metrolinx Legacy Fleet Maintenance and Operations Contract.Reporting to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Engineering Manager, accountable for working collaboratively with the management team to ensure all areas of System Engineering and RAMS processes are supported.

Additionally, ensuring that business priorities are translated into comprehensive actions while partnering with other departments.Core Accountabilities:Ensure all deliverables and commitments are met including customer recommendations, concerns and issuesProvide practical recommendations relating to RAMS data and utilize the results to ensure continuous improvementsEnsure various Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met with RAMS and fleet performanceAbility to create, track and present overall KPI’s to measure successMeasure, identify, and make recommendations to drive improvements in all aspects of fleet performanceManage and perform technical analysis relating to fleetWork with business processes and reliability improvement techniquesUnderstanding of client products including technical specificationsIdentify and troubleshoot appropriate solutions for equipment failuresIdentify potential areas of risk/opportunities, close gaps and escalate as neededPromote optimization measuresSupport cultural change management with the ability to address issues faced when introducing business improvement techniquesSupport Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving using RCM methodologies, or agreed appropriate tools.Ensure that all Health Safety and Environmental policies, processes and procedures are always adhered to.Advise Senior Management of any developing issues or potential issues that could arise.Produce timely relevant periodic reports, as requiredMaintain a harmonious relationship with unionized maintenance employeesManage and lead cross-functional process improvement projects and business wide improvement initiatives Qualifications: Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience3 to 5 years working as a RAMS/System/Vehicle Engineer2 to 3 years demonstrating application of RAMS methods and analysisDemonstrates an understanding of configuration managementExperience in controlling and being accountable for results and overall performance of a projectDemonstrated ability to manage & track multiple KPIsExcellent communication skills and impeccable ethicsStrong problem solving, project management, and organizational skillsOutstanding knowledge of the MS Office suite, in-depth knowledge of Excel.
