Position: Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist
Duration: 1.5 Years assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto (Onsite: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

This position is provisionally Onsite, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.
About the Engagement
Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support large‑scale, complex public‑sector health IT initiatives. The successful candidate will lead system testing activities across multiple program areas, ensuring high-quality delivery of mission‑critical provincial health solutions. This role requires extensive Public Sector Health project expertise, deep testing knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with architects, developers, product owners.
Scope
- Participate in walkthroughs and collaborate with subject‑matter experts, users, and partners to ensure test completeness.
- Work closely with development teams to align test plans with feature documentation.
- Apply QA expertise to resolve testing issues, track defects, and maintain service quality.
- Validate release deployments in production and support user sign‑off.
- System test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and automated test scripts
- Defect logs, defect summary reports, and testing results reports
- Accessibility testing results
Must Have:
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in Systems Testing / QA, including test planning, execution, and defect management.
- 5+ years of experience working with Public Sector health‑related projects and OPS I&IT methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of testing methods, SDLC, and structured development/testing practices.
- Experience testing clinical systems, high‑volume transactional systems, APIs, HL7‑FHIR services, and COTS products.
- Proficiency with test tools such as Selenium, POSTMAN, SOAP‑UI, ClearQuest, and SQL for validation.
- Experience creating full testing documentation (test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, results, defect logs).
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with AODA documentation requirements and accessibility considerations for public‑sector IT.
- Hands‑on experience with tools supporting accessibility validation.
