Purpose:
The position is for an Application Developer Specialist within the GRT-Liquidity Risk group and entails taking on an SME role within the Liquidity Risk team. The incumbent is responsible for providing efficient and cost-effective technical solutions across a mix of in-house and vendor platforms that aligns with the streamlining initiative of the Liquidity Risk group.
The candidate must be able to interact with numerous internal teams including Operations, Data Capture, and Application support groups.
The incumbent will have at least 5-10 years of progressive IT experience and a strong technical background. The individual must be self-driven, think proactively, and be able to provide technical solution leadership.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Participate in development (Coding) of cost effective and robust applications.
Provide technical support to applications in production and during user acceptance testing.
Participate in systems implementation, planning, and development.
Provide technical guidance to other team members.

Required technical qualifications:
– 5+ years experience with Python
– 5+ years experience using Linux/Unix, including related scripting
– 5+ years experience using source control systems (GIT preferred)
– 3+ years experience using Spark
– Experience with Nifi is required
– Experience with Docker is required
– Hands-on experience with RDBMS Systems Server (Postgres preferred)
– Experience working with large volumes of data processed daily
– Experience supporting production applications.
Willing to be on-call if needed.
Desired business knowledge:
-Knowledge of financial instruments.
-Experienced in application / solutions architecture
