Role and Facility Information
This position provides entirely virtual clinical services and is hosted by Fraser Health, a large inter‑professional health organization serving over two million people across the Fraser Health region and the Fraser Valley.
The Virtual Psychiatry Unit is a new virtual care model that delivers acute mental health and substance use services to patients in their homes. As part of this unit you will:
- Consult with the Virtual Psychiatry Unit and actively engage in outreach to patients’ residences.
- Provide assessment, outpatient treatment and consultation.
- Conduct family meetings, organise case conferences, and plan discharge.
- Educate psychiatry residents and medical students.
- Partner with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and advocate for patients’ psychiatric needs.
Although the role is fully virtual — including on‑call hours — occasional in‑person attendance at team meetings may be required.

Qualified or eligible psychiatrist with the ability to deliver virtual clinical care to adults.
