Your future role on our team
You'll be working at CPP/BBA's Sherwood Park office as a Project Manager. The Environment department carries out a variety of mandates in project development and execution in the industrial (energy, mining, construction linear projects), commercial and private sectors, including biophysical characterization, impact and social acceptability studies as well as approval and permit applications.

- Coordinate, write, and submit project proposals and reports. Conduct quality assurance reviews and approve technical reports for client submissions
- Account management: regular contact with customers and providing customers with service, support, and improvement opportunities. Serve as the primary contact for client projects, ensuring satisfaction and fostering strong relationships
- Ensure project budgets and invoicing are managed effectively
- Active problem solving and supporting staff when issues arise with projects
- Oversee management of field equipment and vehicles
- Stay updated on regulatory trends and industry opportunities
- Promote adherence to safety policies and procedures within the department
- Oversee compilation of detailed reports for special projects
- Including environmental impact assessments, environmental permit applications, and authorization certificates for clearing, construction, and reclamation activities
- Including the development of sampling plans and methodologies for data collection and entry
- Research and interpret a wide variety of legal agreements, and reports for content and consistency
- Promote BBA's environmental services, both internally to colleagues and externally to current and potential clients
- Participate in innovation efforts, the development of new services and the Environment group's communication initiatives

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an environment-related field
- From 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in delivering environmental projects (budget, schedule, planning, work execution)
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Proven leadership skills with strong coaching, team building and mentoring abilities
- Negotiation, decision making and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Proficiency in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects
- Strong technical writing, editing, and review skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects, set priorities, and meet rigid deadlines
- Professional, safety conscious, and client focused attitude
- Familiarity with legislative Codes of Practice, provincial and federal application processes, and environmental permitting
- Familiarity with wetland delineation and classification
- Wildlife identification and reporting
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Asset: Hold a professional designation or are qualified to acquire one (ex. Professional Biologist, Professional Agrologist, etc) in both Alberta and BC
- Asset: ArcGIS software knowledge and understanding
- Asset: bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written
