Position Status: Temporary Full-Time, 12-month Contract

Description of the Position:


Reporting to the Associate Director, Financial Analysis & Systems, the Project Manager will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and play a pivotal role in successfully transitioning from Financial Edge to cloud-based financial system. Your responsibilities include planning, mapping, configuring, and assist in implementing and finalize aligning the business requirements and collaborating with the Functional Business Leads. You will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The Project Manager will actively engage with the system, configure settings, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support post-implementation. The role requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefits of IT system investments.



Required Skills


You will:

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely input into project timelines, resource allocation and identification and resolution of issues.
  • Direct and manage project development from start to finish, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical paths, ensuring internal general controls are considered throughout project life cycle.
  • Assist in design and improving the software to align with the strategic direction of the organization.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage projects issues effectively, collaborating with finance and business teams to devise appropriate plans.
  • Take ownership of project schedules and resourcing, raise and monitor risks and issues, resolve conflicts promptly, escalate when necessary and ensure timely delivery of quality deliverables.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises, and create contingency plans.
  • Identify and operationalize opportunities to effectively utilize the new system functionality.
  • Assist in configuring, development and implement enhancements for new software features.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate personnel, coach, mentor, motivate and supervise internal team members and influence them to ensure accountability for assigned work.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in the field of business administration, management information systems or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years’ experience as a technology lead, implementing financial solutions.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a team and leading the design efforts for complex projects.
  • Minimum of 2 full system implementations for financial/ERP systems.
  • PMP Certification an asset.
  • Competent and proficient understanding of business application platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly facilitating problem solving with a group of individuals from diverse disciplines and varying knowledge levels.
  • Organized, detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through.
  • Able to multi-task and constantly reprioritize work in a complex, service-oriented environment.

Total Compensation Package:



Hiring Salary Range: $80,051.00 – $100,065.00; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $115,076.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary

range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Project Manager, Finance.
