<p>Project Manager - Environmental Remediation</p><p><br></p><p>The Project Manager leads environmental remediation projects from initial planning through completion. This role provides oversight of site staff and environmental specialists, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with Alberta regulations and company standards.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate combines proven leadership and project management expertise with technical knowledge in site assessment, remediation, and regulatory compliance.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead and direct environmental specialists and site personnel on remediation projects.</li><li>Manage all phases of project delivery: planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and reporting.</li><li>Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to maintain clear communication and timely execution.</li><li>Review and approve technical reports, data summaries, and regulatory submissions.</li><li>Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols and technical standards.</li><li>Track budgets and schedules, prepare progress reports, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.</li><li>Foster a collaborative, high performance team culture.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Alberta regulatory frameworks, QA/QC standards, and Health & Safety requirements.</li><li>Support business development through proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Experience & Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of progressive industrial experience in Canada (Alberta preferred).</li><li>10+ years of project management and technical team supervision.</li><li>PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.</li><li>Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain): Standard First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, CSTS or equivalent.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Skills & Competencies</p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of Alberta environmental regulations (asset).</li><li>Expertise in scheduling, budgeting, risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder coordination.</li><li>Proven leadership, communication, negotiation, and team building skills.</li><li>Technical writing proficiency for reports, commissioning documentation, and regulatory submissions.</li><li>Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license (non GDL) with clean abstract; ability to travel to project sites.</li><li>Must pass pre hire drug and alcohol testing per company policy.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Working Conditions</p><ul><li>Combination of office and field work.</li><li>Occasional travel to project sites and client meetings.</li><li>Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
