Job Description
Our client is a leading, privately owned development company with decades of success delivering multifaceted real estate projects across the GTA. As the team continues to grow, they are seeking a Project Coordinator to play a key role in supporting Commercial Construction and renovation projects. This position supports documentation, scheduling, and communication while providing hands-on exposure to the full construction project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of small construction and renovation projects from initiation through close-out
- Support project documentation, including drawings, specifications, meeting minutes, and correspondence
- Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Reviewing drawings and documents to identify missing information or inconsistencies
- Coordinate distribution of drawings, revisions, and addenda
- Collect and track contractor, consultant, and tenant documentation
- Maintain organized electronic project files
- Assist with cost tracking, invoice processing, and basic budget monitoring
- Support site activities such as deficiency tracking, follow-ups, and minor scope changes
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes
- Communicate routine project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders as directed
- Project close-out documentation and handover requirements
- Assist with letter of credit recovery and other duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- 1-3 years minimum experience in construction, development, facilities, or an administrative support role
- Basic understanding of construction drawings and project documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook (Bluebeam, MS Project, Autodesk or similar software is an asset)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to attend project sites as required
