Agilus work solutions is hiring an accomplished Sr. Project Coordinator to join our client’s team in the Construction Industry.

Our client is a growth oriented, Toronto based real estate development and asset management firm primarily focused on larger scale commercial and residential projects in GTA. In this role, you will play an important role in continued growth across the construction management operations. This is a broad role with significant responsibilities, well suited to an individual who has built up significant construction experience in prior roles, now looking to apply it in a hand on, entrepreneurial environment.


Role: Sr. Project Coordinator

Location: North York, ON

Responsibilities:


  • Follow, maintain, and manage the maintenance of Bid document control and document management system based on the company’s criteria.
  • Responsible for receiving and date-stamping incoming documents, logging, distribution, filling, review, and approval.
  • Responsible for the acquisition and distribution of information and documents.
  • Lead modifications required to customize the document control and document management system to meet awarded project requirements.
  • Establish the interface with partner’s external SharePoint sites.
  • Train and supervise supporting document control staff if necessary.
  • Follow the complete and accurate archiving of bidding documentation, especially Bids and Quality Documentation.
  • Participate in third party/ internal audits as required, being fully cognizant of appropriate plans, policies and procedures and respond effectively to requests for corrective actions.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all parties whose documents/records are received and to whom they are distributed.
  • Provide timely communication to the bidding team with regards to document priorities, late submittals, and overdue responses.
  • Coordinating project documentation, which includes meeting minutes, job opening form, change orders / site instructions, owner’s instructions, shop drawings and drawing log, progress claims, and field notices.
  • Assisting the project team by taking initiatives to minimize and complete tasks and ensure accurate document control practices and procedures are followed.
  • Assisting the Project stakeholders with research and preparation of Design and Construction proposals.
  • Assisting the Construction Manager in tendering process including scope of work and managing RFQ’s and bid queries.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience of building construction with a developer, design-builder, general contractor, sub-contractor and/or owner’s representative.
  • Expertise with Procore is mandatory.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Architecture.
  • Excellent capability with Outlook and MS Office suite.
  • Proven experience using Estimating, Take-Off and MS Project software to plan, track, and coordinate projects.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Building Codes, Building Envelope, Timberline, and contract law.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings to contribute to the design and construction process at a technical level.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction sub-trade practices, work, and design processes.
  • Collaborator who works well in a team setting, actively contributing to team activities – sharing experiences and innovative ideas.
