Position Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead our Glass Department. This role is perfect for a proactive, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee production workflows, ensure safety and quality, mentor the team, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Do:

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the Glass Department team, building a safe and engaged work culture.
• Oversee daily production to meet targets, allocating resources efficiently and monitoring workflow.
• Supervise employees performing glazing, assembly, cutting, welding, and other glass production tasks.
• Optimize production schedules, materials, manpower, and equipment in coordination with internal teams.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and reduce waste while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor KPIs, maintain production records, and analyze performance using ERP systems or tracking tools.
• Drive safety initiatives, conduct safety talks, monitor PPE use, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage escalations, coach staff, and implement solutions to resolve conflicts or production issues.
• Audit production quality, enforce standards, and develop action plans to address gaps.
• Ensure equipment maintenance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous operational improvements.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training to build a high-performing team.
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Hands-on experience in glass handling and fabrication, including cutting, tempering, laminating, and assembling IGUs.
• Knowledge of windows and doors production workflows, including casement lines.
• Ability to read production drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Experience with ERP or production tracking systems, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills with 7+ years in a supervisory role in manufacturing, preferably in windows, doors, or glass production.
• Experience conducting performance reviews, coaching staff, and managing complex teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to lift 50 lbs.
  
  

Education & Experience:

• Post-secondary education or relevant trades certification.
• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or glass production.
• Background in process improvements, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
