Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Process Server. As a Process Server/contractor, you will be responsible for delivering legal documents to individuals involved in court cases. This is an important role that requires excellent customer service skills and administrative abilities. It is also recommended that you have a good, reliable and preferably fuel efficient vehicle. You will be working mainly in the Calgary area, but also driving to the many small towns in southern Alberta as well. Hours are Mon. to Fri. 5pm to 9pm and some weekend work.
Duties
- Serve legal documents such as subpoenas, summonses, complaints, and other court papers to individuals or organizations in accordance with legal requirements.
- Plan efficient routes to deliver documents swiftly across designated areas, maintaining punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Verify recipient identities upon delivery, ensuring proper documentation and receipt acknowledgment.
- Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including dates, times conveniently through our app.
- Follow all legal guidelines and confidentiality protocols to uphold the integrity of the process service.
Experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with persons being served.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with local routes is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, or drive for extended periods as needed throughout the evening.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $1,500.00-$2,500.00 per month
