Reporting to the Head of Consulting, the Principal Consultant is responsible for leading a team of enthusiastic, capable, and motivated consultants. The role is responsible for building, mentoring, and scaling the team and building and strengthening relationships with our key clients.



The work:

  • Principal Consultant are the ‘on the scene’ leaders accountable for our client engagements day-to-day. You will be responsible for leading your team through efficient and effective problem-solving processes, from initial conception through convergence to a solution or approach. It’s a role that demands thought leadership at the strategic level – and command of all the technical and operational details of execution. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong relationships.
  • You will create knowledge from our engagements that can be shared across the team to further fuel growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with your peers across the Group to leverage their knowledge and experiences to support continuous improvement within your team.
  • Through the above, you will be accountable for ensuring and maintaining the billable utilization for yourself and your team to exceed the company’s targets. Team Building and Leadership

As a principal, you will be accountable for identifying capability gaps, managing the team skills mix, making informed decisions on potential talent hires, growing, and developing the team.

You will build respect with your peers and your team through your dedication, excellence, ‘leading from the front,’ and your continued focus on improving the caliber of your teams’ execution capabilities.
  • You will, in tandem with the Head of Consulting and the wider senior leadership team, drive effective team performance reviews, cascading organizational goals, as well as individual development plans to support the development and career growth of your team. Business Focus and Acumen
  • You will be accountable for ensuring that new and prospective client engagements have the highest focus, proposals, and statements of work (SOWs) are developed timely and meet the highest quality and accuracy standards.
  • You will lead the charge in supporting business development activities, including sales presentations, proposal creation, negotiation, and project estimation, with a purpose to achieve revenue and P/L objectives for each client engagement under your oversight.


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years plus of relevant experience in technical consulting or related industry experience in digital transformation in verticals such as sales performance management or financial services
  • Have a natural problem-solving mindset, be detail-oriented with a creative flair and a bias for action.
  • Relevant experience in project-based, team-oriented environments and a track record of leading or working in teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to conduct and leverage sophisticated analyses to identify trends, draw conclusions and present recommendations.
  • Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives.
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program, ideally being Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Exposure working with SPM tools such as Anaplan, Pigment, Varicent Board is advantageous.
  • Agile approach in personal work style, with ability to be flexible and adept in dealing with and resolving ambiguity

The pay range for this role is:


150,000 – 180,000 CAD per year (Remote – Toronto, CA)

150,000 – 180,000 USD per year (Remote – United States)
