As we expand our specialized pharmacy services to retirement and assisted living home partners, we are seeking a forward-thinking, customer-focused pharmacist to join us in a ground floor leadership role.
Position Overview
The General Manager (GM) will lead the development, launch, and ongoing operations of a new centralized pharmacy business serving retirement, assisted living, and long-term care home (Care Homes) communities. You will initially support pharmacy services in the Port Colborne area as the business transitions to a new Greater Toronto Area (GTA)–based facility within 8–12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead start-up of a new central-fill Care Home pharmacy business
- Develop and evolve the strategic plan for Care Home and medication management services
- Manage partnerships and evaluate new opportunities
- Oversee financial, human, and physical resources
- Drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Standardize operations and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure outstanding medication dispensing and logistics
- Collaborate with clients on medication management systems
- Support client teams with training, audits, and quality systems
- Deliver medication reviews and clinical pharmacy services
- Lead pharmacy operations, staffing, workflow, billing, and technology
- Ensure regulatory compliance and achievement of KPIs
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Part A Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Minimum 5 years of LTC or retirement home pharmacy experience
- Pharmacy management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Kroll (including Nursing Home module), eMAR systems, and packaging technologies
- Ability to collaborate across teams and work in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical, operational, and decision-making skills
