The PSW will support the clients’ physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization’s resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents’ rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.QualificationsGraduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalentExperience in long term care setting an assetCurrent CPR CertificateExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to take initiative, problem solve and time manageAbility to work independently as well as be an active, positive team playerComputer literacyAbility to speak and converse in Chinese an assetAdditional InformationWorking Conditions:Temporary full time position for 3 months, with possibility of extensionConsiderable standing, walking, lifting and bendingExposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact.Ability to work day shift, including weekends and short shifts.
