Part-Time Accounting Associate – Future Full-Time Opportunity

Location: Toronto (Pharmacy Avenue & St. Clair Avenue East)

Schedule: Part-time, flexible days

Hours: About 20 hours per week (Hours will increase; must be open to transitioning to full-time)

Shift Window: Hours must fall between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM

Pay: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)

Status: Part-time, with potential to lead to full-time


Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to support ongoing financial operations. While days worked each week can be flexible, weekly hours must remain consistent, and all work must be completed within standard business hours.


Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently

• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances

• Reconcile bank statements and support invoice approvals and payments

• Calculate, prepare, and remit GST, HST, and applicable excise taxes

• Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations

• Process payroll and maintain accurate payroll records

• Support procurement and vendor coordination as required


Qualifications

  • Proven accounting experience (required)

  • Proficiency in accounting software and solid working knowledge of GST/HST regulations

  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently

  • Excellent command of the English language
