Operations Supervisor
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring the facility is maintained to the highest standards
- Lead and support a team responsible for maintenance, building operations, and site services
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of operations staff
- Assist in the preparation and management of annual operating and capital budgets
- Coordinate both scheduled and reactive maintenance across the property
- Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
- Support preventative maintenance programs related to HVAC systems, energy management, environmental programs, landscaping, security, and life safety systems
- Monitor building systems and operational performance to maintain efficiency and reliability
- Prepare operational reports and documentation to support effective decision-making
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong risk management practices to protect the property and its occupants
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in building operations or facilities management
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a commercial property, retail centre, office or mixed-use environment
- Diploma in Building Environmental Systems or related technical education preferred
- Stationary Engineer 4th Class Certificate, SMA (BOMA), or Building Environmental Systems II considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, building automation systems, and preventative maintenance software
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment

Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 + 14% bonus
