CarePartners can provide you with more time for a better work-life balanceWe are looking for Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and Physiotherapy Assistants (PTs) to provide one on one care in the community/home setting as part of our interdisciplinary care team.Competitive wage starting at $20.81 per hourThis is a Part Time role and hours will be varied.What We Offer:Competitive salary, comprehensive health and dental benefitsEmployment perks such as Employee Assistance Program, Perkopolis, Rewards PointsFlexible scheduling supporting employee work life balanceInspiring leadership and opportunities for professional growthSupportive & dedicated Safety Health & Wellness team & Pandemic Response teamInterprofessional collaboration with our Professional Practice Research & Education TeamWhat The Role Involves:Professional treatment of patients in the community and in their homesDelivers therapy within the Care Plan with respect to Community Health Services, independently or in cooperation with the Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS)Assists with gross motor, fine motor and balance activitiesWorks with the patient on appropriate time-specific, measurable goals and outcomes in collaboration with the care teamProvides client/family education and support to address physical, functional and self-care needs as assignedWorks independently and as an integral member of an interdisciplinary care teamMonitors and report changes in health status to the supervising Occupational Therapist/PhysiotherapistPerforms other duties as requiredWhat You Bring:An Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) diploma from an Ontario college program an assetCan be Internationally trained clinician or Registered KinesiologistCurrent First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) CertificateDemonstrated understanding and practice of rehabilitation principles and techniquesSound critical thinking skills, good judgement and problem-solving skillsAbility to participate and follow treatment programs and care plansExperience working one-on-one as a therapeutic support with clientsAbility to foster independence of the client in the home and in the communityProven computer skills, including email, MS Word and Outlook, work scheduling systemsA valid driver’s license and vehicleExcellent English verbal and written communication skillsTo protect our patients, we require current vulnerable sector check screening, and a clear background checkCarePartners In Your Community:In addition to providing home-based health care, CarePartners also serves the community through clinics, transitional care units, and provides relief in retirement homes and shared care settings.
