Night Operations Manager
Domaine Mallity Estate β Wedding & Event Venue
Location: Hammond, ON (20 mins East of Rockland)
Hours: 8:00 PM β 4:00 AM (Event-Based, Primarily Weekends)
Position Overview
Mallity Estate is seeking a highly responsible and experienced hospitality professional to serve as our Night Operations Manager during weddings and private events.
This individual acts as the bridge between ownership and the night team, ensuring our service standards are upheld, our staff perform at the highest level, and every event concludes safely and professionally. You will be the final impression our clients and guests experience before leaving the venue.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Oversight
- Supervise night shift staff, bartenders, and barbacks
- Uphold Mallity Estate service standards at all times
- Address performance issues in real time
- Coach and correct team members when necessary
- Communicate staffing or service concerns to ownership and the next-day manager
Guest Experience
- Ensure the event ends on a positive and professional note
- Act as the primary point of contact for late-night concerns
- Oversee shuttle coordination and guest departures
- Maintain a calm, confident, and solutions-oriented presence
Safety & Emergency Management
- Handle situations involving over-intoxication, drug use, medical issues, or fire risk
- Make confident decisions in high-pressure scenarios
- Ensure compliance with venue policies and liquor laws
- Protect the safety of guests, staff, and property
Operational & Closing Duties
- Assist with bartending or barbacking when required
- Oversee full venue shutdown and closing procedures
- Count bar inventory and prepare re-order lists
- Place inventory orders as required
- Ensure the venue is left exceptionally clean and ready for the next day
- Prepare the venue for tours when applicable
- Troubleshoot independently and communicate any issues to the next-day manager
Property Oversight
- Oversee the transition between Mallity Estate and Mallity Manor (on-site Bnb
- Ensure guests are safely relocated and property guidelines are respected
- Act as the final authority on-site once ownership has left

Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years experience in hospitality, restaurant, bar, or event management
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage a team respectfully and firmly
- Comfortable handling conflict and high-pressure situations
- Dependable, mature, and highly responsible
- Available for late-night hours (8 PM β 4 AM)
- Reliable transportation
Smart Serve certification required.
First Aid certification is an asset.
Speaking French an asset.
