Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Cabling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in structured cabling and equipment installation. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various cable systems, including telecommunication and network infrastructure. This role requires technical expertise, safety awareness, and the ability to work in diverse environments. Must be able to read and follow diagrams and floor plans. The Cable Technician will play a vital part in ensuring the integrity and functionality of our clients' communication and data systems. Salary is based on experience and qualifications
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication cables and networks
- Manage cable routing, termination, and testing to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with telephony system installations and maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols during all operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Document work performed accurately and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data cabling and telecommunication systems, or related fields.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, WAN configurations, and low-voltage wiring.
- Strong understanding of telephony systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Valid certification or licensing related to telecommunications work is advantageous.
- Ability to work at heights using ladders safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, night and weekends
- Ability to travel for work, including overnight stays
- Strong attention to details and organizational skills
