We are currently seeking a digitally savvy National Account Manager to work with Newcom’s Financial Group brands to create solutions for the storied financial services institutions that comprise our customer base, while driving revenue for a highly successful, industry-leading set of brands. Those brands — Advisor.ca, Conseiller.ca, Finance et Investissement and Investment Executive — have a combined 105 years of experience reaching and informing Canada’s financial advisors and executives.

The right person for this role is a highly motivated, collaborative self-starter who understands consultative selling and who has a proven ability to engage and influence decisionmakers. You are a creative thinker and strive to come up with strategic solutions to help your customers meet their goals and objectives. You are organized, persistent, willing to work hard and go the extra mile to ensure sales success.



As a National Account Manager at Newcom, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth through the sale of our digital media solutions. You will be responsible for managing and expanding agency partnerships while identifying and pursuing new custom content opportunities. Responsibilities:


  • Increase revenue by selling advertising and creative multi-platform custom solutions for customers across a variety of digital products, as well as two print publications (Investment Executive and Finance et Investissement).
  • Manage your business pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term success.
  • Use CRM tools effectively and consistently.
  • Meet with customers and/or advertising agencies to develop new business and/or maintain existing relationships.
  • Develop an understanding of client’s business, products, services, customer profile, marketing and business objectives, competitors and sales to better proposed strategies and tactics that will achieve customer’s KPIs
  • Prepare presentations, network with current and potential customers, and support each account as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively within your group as well as across Newcom to develop new revenue-generating ideas and opportunities.
  • Attend events on behalf of the publications, both locally and across Canada as needed. You must be willing to get involved and become part of the industry and be a valuable sales resource.

Qualifications:    

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in developing creative solutions and solving problems for customers.
  • At least (3) years’ experience working with media buying and creative agencies
  • A willingness to immerse yourself in the financial services industry and to work with blue-chip customers who are looking to reach a sophisticated, highly specialized audience in a regulated industry.
  • Strong prospecting, closing and relationship-building skills.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple ongoing advertising campaigns, on a variety of products and platforms, within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to bring ideas to life and ensure successful execution.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM tools is an asset.
