We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and enforcement of safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.
Mobile Security Guard – Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and random mobile patrols of multiple client sites using a company vehicle
- Perform exterior and interior security checks to prevent unauthorized access and identify safety hazards
- Monitor alarm systems and respond promptly to alarm activations and emergency calls
- Lock and unlock facilities as required according to site instructions
- Maintain detailed daily patrol logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection reports
- Enforce access control procedures when required at assigned locations
- Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Ensure proper care and safe operation of the company vehicle at all times
- Provide professional assistance to clients, tenants, and members of the public
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard License (as required by provincial regulations)
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Previous mobile patrol or security experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Excellent observation and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Physically capable of conducting patrols in various weather conditions
