Job Title: Mid-Level Structural Engineer Location: Peterborough, Ontario Salary: $82,000-$123,000/year (based on experience) Our client, an established consulting firm specializing in hydropower, is seeking a talented Mid-Level Structural Engineer for a full-time position. This position involves technical design and project management responsibilities for hydroelectric, fisheries, and water resources projects based in Peterborough, Ontario. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering, Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation in Ontario, 5-10 years of experience in Structural Engineering, and proficiency in Canadian standards and codes relevant to the structural engineering discipline.
The role requires willingness to travel, hold a valid driver’s license, and be available for project work in the United States if required. Additional Requirements: Candidates must possess permanent authorization to work in Canada and be eligible to acquire authorization to work in the United States. Experience in managing staff, projects, and client relationships Strong problem-solving skills and effective oral and written communication skills for internal and external communication, proposal writing, and technical memos Experience in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior and/or senior staff Who We Are: Our client has been an employee-owned company for over 55 years and is dedicated to developing engineering, regulatory, and environmental solutions that optimize cost savings, shorten project schedules, and enhance regulatory relationships.
