DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader to join our team with Irving Tissue Saint John.
ResponsibilitiesMechanical Maintenance Team Leader
• Supervise a crews of mechanical tradespeople throughout the mill
• Provide leadership in the areas of safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality and best practices.
• Facilitate problem-solving and troubleshooting activities and working collaboratively with team members in all departments
• Includes involvement with cross-functional strategic initiatives and training & development activities.
Completed post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent, or Journeyman Status in a mechanical trade with equivalent progressive supervisory experience
• years of experience in Pulp & Paper or other industrial environments.
• Supervisory experience in a unionized environment would be considered an asset.
• Safety leadership knowledge and experience.
• Maintenance Management Professional or work towards such a designation would be considered an asset.
• Exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
