Mechanical engineer IntroductionI am presenting a unique opportunity in the manufacturing sector for a mechanical engineer passionate about innovation and the design of automated systems. As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing automated equipment for material recovery. You will work on the design, testing, and deployment of new systems while supporting assembly and service teams. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and product innovation.
MissionYour challenges:
Design and develop efficient and reliable automated systems.
Plan and manage design projects, including estimates, specifications, reports, and contractual documentation.
Evaluate and optimize mechanical performance (dynamics, vibrations, failure analysis).
Support product deployment and provide on-site technical assistance.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to validate components and specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams to ensure project coherence and quality.
Encourage innovation, generate new ideas, and protect intellectual property.
Your profil:
University degree in mechanical engineering and at least 5 years of experience in industrial design.
Member in good standing of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec).
Creative mindset, curiosity, and a strong interest in innovation.
Hands-on field experience and understanding of manufacturing realities.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary and international teams.
Attention to detail, ergonomics, and user-centered quality.
Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
Autonomy, organizational skills, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
Analytical profile with a focus on continuous improvement.
Availability for occasional travel within Quebec.
Conditions:
Salary starting at $90,000 to 120000$ per year, depending on experience.
Annual bonus program.
