Design Leaders Wanted | Manager, Project Design (Architectural) | Woodbridge, Ontario
This isn't just another design leadership role.
We're looking for a seasoned architectural design leader who knows how to balance people, process, and precision. Someone who can mentor strong designers, raise the bar on technical excellence, and help shape how custom ceiling and wall systems are delivered across North America.
If you've led design teams in commercial construction and you enjoy building structure, improving workflows, and coaching experienced professionals — this role gives you real influence.
You'll make an impact by:
Leading and developing a high-performing team (8–9 direct reports)
Elevating shop drawing quality and technical standards (AutoCAD)
Creating smarter workflows through CAD standards & SOPs
Partnering with PMs, Operations, and clients to solve complex design challenges
Driving continuous improvement and cross-training
Providing leadership visibility through project reporting
Traveling occasionally (5–10%) to support cross-site collaboration
You'll bring:
15+ years in commercial construction or architectural design
15+ years leading design or technical teams
Advanced AutoCAD skills (SolidWorks & ERP a plus)
Experience with custom ceiling systems (fiberglass, metal, wood preferred)
A leadership style that builds trust, accountability, and results
