<p><strong>Location:</strong> 24 Colonnade Road, Ottawa ON</p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Daytime, Monday to Friday</p><p><strong>Starting Salary: </strong>$108,000 / Year</p><p><br></p><p>Commissionaires Ottawa is modernizing its technology environment to better support our staff, clients, and mission. We are seeking a Manager, Technology Services who can strengthen our service delivery model, improve operational stability, and partner with business leaders to ensure technology enables organizational performance.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for enterprise applications, cloud services, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, and Service Desk operations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on service excellence, vendor accountability, process maturity, and improving how technology supports day-to-day operations.</p><p><br></p><p>This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level IT leader who enjoys balancing people leadership, operational oversight, and incremental modernization in a dynamic, service-focused environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What you will be doing </strong></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, and retool a multidisciplinary Technology Services team through a period of change, strengthening service delivery, clarifying roles, and building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Oversee enterprise applications (finance, HR, payroll, scheduling, CRM, client portals), ensuring they are optimized, integrated with workflows, and aligned with business needs</li><li>Advance cloud and infrastructure modernization by promoting automation, standardization, resilience, and efficient use of SaaS and Microsoft 365/Azure capabilities</li><li>Implement and mature ITIL-based service management practices (incident, problem, change, knowledge), improving user experience, service consistency, and performance metrics</li><li>Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls) and privacy legislation; oversee risk assessments, security testing, incident response, and ongoing improvements to strengthen cyber resilience</li><li>Partner with business leaders to support operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and successful adoption of new technologies</li><li>Oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensuring contract performance, cost effectiveness, security and privacy compliance, and clear accountability for service outcomes</li><li>Contribute to technology budget planning, forecasting, and ROI analysis to support effective investment decisions</li><li>Ensure enterprise systems and cloud platforms support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making by integrating with dashboards, BI tools, and operational workflows</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What's in it for you?</strong></p><ul><li>Work for a reputable and nationally known company</li><li>Work in a challenging and rewarding work environment</li><li>Employer paid professional development</li><li>A comprehensive benefits package</li><li>Generous paid time off, holidays and sick days</li><li>Retirement plans with company matching of employee contributions</li><li>Employee discount programs, social outings and holiday gatherings</li><li>Free Parking on-site</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>You're a good fit if you have </strong></p><ul><li>Are a confident, proactive leader who can set direction, make decisions, and guide a small team through change</li><li>Understand how to deliver stable technology services while supporting business priorities</li><li>Can translate technical topics into clear, practical language for non-technical audiences</li><li>Balance operational demands with thoughtful planning and incremental modernization</li><li>Build strong relationships with business leaders and position IT as a service partner</li><li>Thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and the need for timely issue resolution</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Your must-haves:</strong></p><ul><li>At least 7 years of experience in IT management leading multidisciplinary teams</li><li>Experience with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, SaaS tools, and ITIL-based service management</li><li>Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and privacy legislation</li><li>Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>ITIL certification and cloud certification (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing vendors, projects, and service delivery outcomes</li><li>English essential; French considered an asset</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Secret Level Security Clearance</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Application Process</strong></p><p>If we're the right fit for you, we want to hear from you!
