Employment Type:Permanent Contract Duration: About the team you are joining Global Aviation Data Management (GADM) team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of data solutions needed to monitor safety, operational and capacity KPIs. These includes, without being limited to Managing Data Sharing Programs (IDX, FDX, MCX and ADX) Supporting OSS lines of business in their data, reporting and dashboard needs Ensuring the availability, reliability, and quality of the data through performance tuning and continuous monitoring Identifying and driving process improvement opportunities to optimize performance of data warehouse Adhering to data governance policies, quality standards and best practices What your day would be like Reporting to the Sr Manager, Data Science, you will be responsible for the application of complex statistical techniques toward the collection, analysis, and translation of statistical data for a variety of data projects. This role is also interpreting, summarizing, creating and maintaining statistical data files; writing reports and dashboards on trends and analysis; designing and developing complex spreadsheet and database applications; contributing to the development and monitoring of performance indicators and systems Conduct research into the mathematical basis of the science of statistics. Identify the appropriate method of statistical analysis and apply statistical techniques to interpret data Develop statistical methodology and advise on its practical application Compile and analyse data and interpret trends, fluctuations, and other changes that may emerge Research problems and determine the data required to answer specific questions Support other members of the team on how to interpret data collected and/or analysed and properly categorize findings Prepare detailed reports for management and other departments Define and utilize statistical methods to solve industry-specific problems Monitor and review database information and conducts data audits and corrections to ensure data integrity Provide recommendation and strategic guidance based on statistical analysis to improve decision-making Apply statistical methods such as regression analysis, clustering, factor analysis, time series analysis and machine learning algorithms.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and outliers and identify potential data quality issues. Develop and apply predictive and prescriptive models to uncover patterns, correlations and trends within complex datasets. Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine significant subsets for analysis Manages information in accordance with Industry regulations and organization’ standards Safeguard the quality and confidentiality of data We would love to hear from you if Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics or related field 5 years experience in statistical data analysis field Strong analytical skills are essential to complete job requirements successfully Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management Experience working with sensitive information Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed Strong computer skills and ability to use necessary databases and software Ability to complete milestones and work towards multiple deadlines simultaneously Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies Excellent communication skills in English (a must) Experience with aviation data (an asset).
