Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors performing retrofit work on site
• Serve as the daily site contact.
• Coordinate with the client for building access and scheduling
• Manage and enforce site safety protocols
• Support the project manager with daily operational coordination

Candidate Profile
Preferred candidates should have:

• Site supervisor, foreman, or project management experience
• Background in construction, building retrofits, or facility upgrades
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating work on-site
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Reliable transportation to commute to the job site

Location Considerations

• Work will be performed at one building only (no travel between sites).
• The site is located in Grand Prairie, Alberta, approximately 5 hours north of Edmonton.
• The area is close to the Alberta oil patch, which may make recruiting more competitive due to higher-paying roles in that sector.
• Ideally, candidates should live within commuting distance, but relocation for the project duration may be considered.

1. Provide Site Supervision to site as assigned by the JCI Project Manager
2. Direct site construction activities in accordance with schedule, specifications and procedures
3. Ensure compliance with the JCI Site Safety program and policies on each site
4. Ensure proper building construction/installation methods are adhered to
5. Conduct or attend (if Forepersons are leading) the weekly tool box safety meetings
6. Meet weekly with Forepersons to review schedule and labour impacts and adjust to maintain schedule
7. Supervise sub-contractors; organize labour and equipment requirements based on 3 week look-out on schedule
8. Assist the JCI PM to monitor and manage site schedule of activities to key milestones
9. Identify and recommend change orders
10. Attend regular on-site construction meetings; generate regular status update reports using JCI template
11. Interface with Owner’s representatives as required and communicate to JCI PM
12. Receive materials on site and ensure proper paper flow with JCI home office
13. Other duties as assigned by the JCI Project Manager
