HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in Toronto who needs to hire a Maintenance Manager. To be considered, you would need experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or as a Maintenance Manager and have experience overseeing stamping presses. They will also consider Senior Millwrights who wants to move into a supervisory or management role, as long as you have experience repairing stamping presses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Plans, directs and coordinates all activities of the Maintenance Department. All activities are directed to achieve company objectives at the lowest possible cost and the highest possible quality levels.
• Manages the Maintenance department and ensures that all equipment and the facility meet HS&E standards and ensure compliance with any applicable legislation, assist with continual improvement projects and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Investigates and coordinate solutions to problems and excessive costs identified in the Maintenance department.
• Ensures that the Maintenance department is staffed with competent personnel. • Initiates and coordinates/conducts annual performance reviews and training activities for all personnel.
• Support the Quality, Engineering, Materials & Tool room departments, in providing assistance.
• Investigates and works on corrective and preventive action for quality concerns identified internally or at the customer.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Possessing either a valid Millwright or Electrician License for the Province Of Ontario OR have a Bachelors of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree
• Recent experience as a supervisor or manager with an automotive Manufacturing Company that stamps or welds. Must have experience managing tradespeople across multiple shifts.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics.
