Logistics/Administration Support Specialist
Our client, a seller of stainless steel products worldwide is currently searching for a Logistics & Administration Support Specialist to join their team in Mississauga. This is not a remote opportunity. Must live local to the GTA
Responsibilities:
Assist with coordinating domestic and international shipments, including arranging transportation, tracking shipments, and communicating with carriers and freight forwarders.
Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and export/import documentation, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support inventory management activities, including stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
Provide administrative support to the logistics team, including data entry, filing, and organizing documentation.
Assist with procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers.
Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding logistics, shipments, and administrative matters.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and warehouse personnel, to ensure smooth coordination of logistics and administrative processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficiency-enhancing measures.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all logistics and administrative activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is an asset.
Previous experience in logistics coordination, administrative support, or a related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with logistics software or ERP systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of logistics processes, shipping regulations, and customs procedures is desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing logistical and administrative challenges.
