Job Description

Overview

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH), in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is seeking locum Hospitalist Physicians to join their team during active recruitment.

The remuneration model includes a daily rate under the provincial hospitalist agreement, supplemented by a stipend and fee-for-service billings for on-call work.

CBRH features 7 hospitalist lines, with patients distributed across various units in the hospital, excluding the ICU. Each locum hospitalist is responsible for a maximum of 15 patients, and call requirements are limited to one night per week worked.

Relocation support programs are in place to assist you and your family, including help with finding housing, securing daycare for young children, and addressing other challenges associated with transitioning to a new community.

Remuneration & Benefits

Expected Hours: Full-time hours (1.0 FTE).

Estimated Annual Salary: To Be Determined.

Zone: Eastern Zone.

Type of Remuneration: Daily Rate.

Incentive Programs Available: No.

On-call work: On-call coverage is 5pm to 8am, with daytime coverage from 8am to 5pm, split between physicians covering the service for the week.
