Litigation Associate Lawyer
Job Description
Our client is seeking a Litigation Associate Lawyer to join its growing and collaborative team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to work on a diverse litigation practice while benefiting from mentorship, flexibility, and a supportive professional environment. The successful candidate will gain exposure to a broad range of matters, including commercial, property, employment, and estate litigation, and will play an integral role in advancing files from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients before courts and tribunals
- Manage a varied litigation caseload across multiple practice areas
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, facta, and other court materials
- Conduct examinations for discovery, cross-examinations, and hearings
- Collaborate closely with partners and associates
- Support and mentor summer and articling students
- Advise clients and develop practical, results-oriented legal strategies
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of post-call litigation experience
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage files and deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Sound professional judgment
- Demonstrated motivation and commitment to professional growth
