Canadian Appliance Source is looking for a new addition to its talented web development team. As an integral member of our team, you will be helping every department of the company thrive from a technological standpoint, helping to develop our fully-custom software: both the back-end system and front-end website, in sales, warehousing, logistics, accounting, customer-facing interfaces, and more! This role will also be responsible for guiding a team of web developers in terms of priorities, best practices, and code review.

*Skill requirements:*

  • PHP (7+ years)
  • MySQL (7+ years)
  • Linux server administration
  • JavaScript (jQuery)
  • HTML, CSS and web design
  • Bilingual French/English an asset

*Job Requirements:*

  • Assist in leading and mentoring a team of 3-5 web developers
  • Able to pivot and prioritize own projects along with those of the team
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time
  • Self-starter that can prioritize projects to meet the needs of stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills to explain processes, ideas, and translate business need into workable solutions
  • Ability to architect efficient solutions that integrate with existing code
  • Creating, deploying, and maintaining your own code
  • Effective time management and superior organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
  • Identify areas to mitigate risk
  • This is a Monday-Friday in-office role and is located in Mississauga with a future move to North York

*The Nice-to-Haves:*

  • Former position as a team-lead or similar position
  • Experience working with/developing eCommerce websites.
  • Experience developing for all levels of logistics throughout a retailer supply chain.
  • Impressive Photoshop skills with an eye for design in all the work you produce – creative.

All candidates may be subject to a background check. The successful candidate will be required to sign a mandatory Non-Disclosure Agreement upon hire. Hiring is conditional on successful completion of the aptitude test and technological skills test.



The interview process will be conducted in 4 parts, all can be completed remotely.


1. Completion of pre-employment assessment


2. Completion of technological skills test and/or coding assessment


3. First video interview
